Classy, big glasses at a great price. Before going on though, I would say that if you have a housefull of rambunctious kids, I would steer away from this product and, if you want a large capacity glass, buy thick-walled tumblers, like a "pub beer glass." These glasses are not what I would call delicate, but they are also not "heavy duty." I haven't broken any yet, but I can tell if I knock one hard against the sink wall, it will probably break. Gosh, I'm starting off kind of negative for a five star review, but I just want to be clear the type of customer this is designed for: someone who's reasonably careful with their dishes and likes a "refined" glass that is not super heavy. Moving on. This glass has real style -- it has a pleasing "look and feel." There's a clear bubble in the base which is a classy touch. Now here's the bonus and the real reaon I was led to buy these: they are just a little bigger than most tumblers. Lately I've been enjoying 12 ounce cans of seltzer water (simple carbonated water with nothing else added) that you can buy for super cheap by the case. With my old glasses, I would put 3-4 ice cubes in the glass, pour in the seltzer water and have just an ounce or so left in the can. However, with these glasses, I can put 3-4 ice cubes in the glass and pour in the complete can of seltzer water -- cool. Admittedly, the glass is filled almost to the brim, but that's OK by me. I would recommend giving these glasses a try: great style, great price.
