If you're buying this because you saw the video of the terrific bag reviewer who helped design this, know that there are some differences between what's in the video and what arrives. The fabric is PET recycled water bottles (good) but it's not as supple as what's in the video (not good)… It has a much more canvas feel to it than a nylon feel. The zippers do not impress. They are not YKK and they do not have any kind of waterproofing that I can tell. I really don't like the zippers or the zipper pulls. Some of the stitching is a little haphazard. For example, the openings on the front of the shoulder straps where the chest strap is anchored… The one on the left is bigger than the one on the right and it curves a little bit. Maybe it was a Friday when this was stitched? So, it's not the polished product that I was expecting, but it's still a decent bag. I have similar bags by other brands that are more appealing in texture and function. And I think will last longer. But this is an interesting design and it is nice to look at. If that matters to you. Suitable for carry in bag inside the flightSo, overall, I really like this backpack! It's got many, many reasons to - it holds a TON of stuff, has compartments galore to keep your items nice and organized, and it is very, VERY well made. It's got really strong zipper too, which gives you the peace of mind that your stuff is secure.It works very well as a commuter bag or a camera bag...or for a weekend trip out of town, too - so it's versatile! Speaking of which, there are handles on the top and sides so you can carry it however it feels the best. And, the bag itself is lightweight so it doesn't add any bulk to your load from that.Pakt makes great stuff. This bag is no exception. It is bag that is truly made for travel and commuting by people who KNOW what they are doing.With that said, I took a star off for the price. It's a bit high, yes, even considering how good it is. This is a great backpack at it's current price...but if it were priced at say, up to $250, this would be an "OMG YOU MUST BUY THIS!" solid 5 star item, no doubt.Highly recommend this pack...but hopefully you are able to catch a coupon on it! :)This is a an amazing backpack, designed so that there's a spot for all your gear, and then some. If you like your packs to have plenty of pockets and compartments for organization, this is the one for you.There are so many ways you can pack this bag. The compartments aren't like some packs where they design them so something very specific fits in that section and not much else. It's far more versatile than that. When I travel I bring my camera and as I looked at the bag, I found a few different ways I could travel with it. The same as my tablet, there are options. There are so many compartments and ways to organize with this, one could virtually live out of this bag for a couple of days. It's the type of pack that works as well for the traveler as it would for someone camping, and it makes for an amazing college student backpack. One can carry everything with them they could possibly need, and be organized while doing it.But enough about the storage, the build quality is outstanding as well. It's luggage quality, but in a light weight pack design. Zippers are strong and pull smoothly. The seams are well sewn and even loaded up quite heavily, it doesn't seem to put any strain on the bag. The squared off edges give the bag a balances and even shape when carrying it horizontally like luggage (it has handles on the side and top). So many details about this bag have been thought out and well constructed. I'm beyond pleased with it and expect to be using it for many years to come.Also just a note, I did order the Pakt leak proof travel mug to go with this pack and it's a great fit for the large bottle/thermos pocket on the side of the bag. The company put as much thought into their travel mug as they did their bag!Love the clean lines and lack of a logo. Everything about this luggage says quality.
