These are nice crayons. They are stronger than Crayola and have no wrapper, which is nice for younger kids who love to peel them off. They don't roll, and kids love the plastic box. My 35 month old can't open it by herself, but maybe that's a good thing. They have a hardness to them when coloring that I personally find very satisfying when using them. My kids will still bite and eat them though, which so far is the only way they have been broken. The colors might not be quite as dark and thick as Crayola, but it's nowhere near as bad as the 1 star reviewers have said. They are plenty bright enough and produce very pretty artwork. My only complaint significant enough to knock off a star is the choice of colors in this set. The 2 blues are almost indistinguishable. The red is really red-orange. My daughter's favorite color is red so it was the first one she reached for. After using it on the paper she exclaimed, "This is orange.... there is no red?!" I also feel that white is a very poor choice for a 12 piece set. Pink or any other color would have been far more useful. Overall, I do prefer these crayons over Crayola and will continue to buy them. These crayons aren't as nice as I was expecting but they weren't a complete disappointment. The crayons arw a nice size and girth, and as advertised, do not roll, I like that there is no pesky paper to be ripped off of the crayon. My only dislike is when you begin coloring. These crayons are SO waxy. The coverage is definitely subpar, even going over the same spot a few times. In the end, these are great for beginner color'ers, lol, I don't think color'ers, is a word. ?Extremely disappointed, especially for the price. I purchased these for my grandson to replace the other Melissa and Doug crayons I purchased in the past. As you can see in the pictures, the ones on the right are much bigger & easier for little hands. The ones on the left are what I just received. They are TINY!! I paid $17 expecting them to be the same size as the ones I purchased a year ago. Extremely misleading description. These crayons hit the spot with our 1 1/2 year old girl. She is just now learning to hold a crayon, and scribble onto coloring books with joy & interest. The good thing is they leave a nice color, but they are not so waxy that marks on wall are tough to deal with. Also, only one has broken so far, and that was due to getting stepped on. They are really durable. Our artist hasn't broken one yet, just wearing them down from good use. Also, on a white or yellow page, the white and yellow crayons aren't really used yet. Probably once black paper gets used.I recently purchased two sets of these for my kids for use on a couple of flights over spring break. I love the case. The crayons stay put in their place and they are accessible. There are a good mix of colors, they seem to work well. They don't roll around if the kids don't get them back in their case right away so they are perfect for air travel or when they are confined to a smaller area and need to be entertained. They were both super excited to use them.Very good for toddlers and they don't roll off the table!! The only issue is that my 2 year old has to press really hard to make the crayons work and he doesn't always succeed and gets frustrated.Best thing ever! not having to peel wrapping off crayons and knowing they won't roll of the table. Works for meYou don't realize how fantastic triangle crayons are until you spend half of dinner picking up regular crayons that your kids roll off the table. My kids love coloring with these while we are at restaurants waiting for meals. The only way they'll end up on the ground is if they're thrown down. You have to press really hard to make colorful marks with these crayons. They are not fun at all. Not worth the money.Ok
